Earlier today it was raining really hard. Some parts of the street had some pretty large puddles but not very deep. Well I was driving on the road and went through a few. The car was running fine after the fact and even when I got home before I shut her down. A couple of hours later I go to pick my brother up from school and it is running really rough and the check engine light is on and is flashing.

Now I could understand if I had a cold air intake but I have a short ram. Does anyone know what is making it do it? Also will leaving it running at idle help or do I need to be driving it?

 

take the distributor cap off and look for mosture, could be damp and not firing correctly.

That happened to me. Found out water leaked into my car onto the ecu. had to take off the fender and plug a hole where water leaked in.

 

Most likely it is water in the distributor like he said. But since you said the check eng light is flashing, I would check that out as well. (count the # of flashs long and short) and look it up
