got 550 what to do?
i bought a 95 civic dx a couple months ago havent done anything to it except new rims and tires. i have about 550 to spend right know should i go ahead and put a b16 head or just put some bolt ons? i dont want to go turbo
if you have a d-series you can't just put a b16 head on it... if you wanna stay n/a they you probably shouldn't waste your time on the d15 you have in there and save some more cash for a b-series swap...

um.. did you just say you want to put a b16 head on a dx civic??? hahahaha i dont think you should mod a civic at all for that one... well i just had to get that out... to help you out.. you can put a z6 or y8 head on your engine (mini-me).. then save up and turbo it... or you can just save up right now and get a H or B series engine.. dont waste your money on bolt ons.. unless you're just trying to achieve a show status.. because those bolt ons aren't going to get you anywhere in a dx... or you can work on your suspension like everybody else is saying...
Zex Kit with a 50 shot, u will have tons of fun with that, but i would just get a good alarm for that much cash, u get get a Cliffort Unit with Blackjax installed for that price, it will be alot safer then any other alarm out there for that price, pager alarms run about 400 installed, but the range isn't all that.

you can get pretty nice shocks/springs for $500
build your suspension first,
then save up for the swap,
after that, get bolt-ons, and start to care about how she looks.

you can give youre self a vtec motor by placeing a vtec head on youre block, nwo there is somethings that you just can't say out right and since i dunno much about SOHC motors im not going to say. but you could puchase a d15b (jdm SOHC vtec motor) for under 550 hondamotorsonline.com has them for around 450 i think, but i would suggest you expand youre knowledge about honda's and motors in general befor you start doing anything, besides maybe throwing on a intake or a muffler not really super dooper power upgrades though.

As carlo said, continue to save, if you want to do things right, do them right the first time. This is the best advise IMHO. I would first go suspension...

calm down 976.. he was just joking.. but yea i would say the best choices are to use that $550 on suspension.. or keep saving and get a B or H series honda engine.
