What front end is this? domani, el, wha???
saw this on another forum but nobody really knows much about it other than it's a civic not from this country obviously. I've heard it's called a domani and/or an EL (acura el?)
what country(s) exactly was this front end offered in and how rare is it??
thanks guys, any info you can provide is well appreciated.
Yea.. It's the Acura 1.6 EL, and that front end conversion is becoming a more popular thing to do. I understand why, that front end looks sooo much better than the civic front ends..

I dont think there is a write up,
Maybe look for the users from the US, cause most of them just put them on there coupes. All the rest of the CDN's genereally dont do the conversion.

Trunk is 1/2 bad it's a direct blot on and so is the front end, everything lines up great (as i see in the pics), just need to buy the supports and stuff
In Canada it's called the Acura 1.6EL from 1996 - 2000, currently there is a new model EL since the generation 7 Civic's came out, and from 2001 - 2003 it is called the Acura 1.7EL, however, with 2004 various face lifting is done and is simply called the Acura EL.
BOTH the generation 1 EL (1.6L) and generation 2 EL (1.7L) uses the SOHC VTEC engine's offered on the USDM Civic EX Sedan/Coupe.

In Japan the equivalent of the Acura 1.6EL is the JDM Honda Domani, I forgot the exact engine specs, however, i do recall that AWD was offered for the Domani.
Elsewhere, I am not sure what part of the world, I have seen pictures of ANOTHER equivalent body design/style called the ISUZI GEMINI.
if you want more detailed descriptions of the EXTERIOR differences of these 3 cars, I will be happy to type it all out because it is all in my head... i would post pics, but sorry my hard drive fried a long while ago and lost them all

and bumper lights,
yeah, I saw that...actually that first picture of mine is from their actual website. I just couldn't find any price info or anything on it is why I was asking...cause if it costs an arm and a leg then I can just get my dad (who owns a body shop) to get the parts for me for cheap
