I need to have my rear bumper touched up and repainted.

Anyone in WA (206,425) area known of any decent places?

my friend will do a great job if he has time for very cheap.

He paints with this guy in Bellingham for H&R Springs...

Skeeter's Autobody in Seattle... my friend's dad is the owner.

 

DO NOT go to Bracy Auto...besides the fact that it's on Rainier Ave, a couple friends have went there trying to get hooked up and all the jobs looked horrible.

 

Well I went to 2 autobody places today.

McLeod AutoBody in Kirland

and

United AutoBody, Inc. in Isaquah.

Both gave me estimates of over $600

Their labor rates are crazy. They wanted like $130 just to take off and put on my bumper .
I took off my bumper (took maybe 40 minutes and that was b/c I didn't really know where the screws/bolts/clips were) to see if there was any internal damage like the guy at McLeod said there could be. There wasn't nor did I think there would be.

Here is a pictures (yes I know it is hanging. I didn't put back some bolts b/c they were a bitch to take off and I'm going to put them on after I get it fixed or what not)





Pretty much I hit a wet spot on a corner (yes I was driving fast ). Spun a 180 , barly touched the gaurd rail. Touched it enough to scrape paint but not hard enough to dent.

Both places said I should just replace the bumper b/c it would probably cost more to do fill work and repaint, which wouldn't be as clean. I agree b/c at least with a new bumper I know the quality of work will only be based on the paint job.

So now i'm actually just looking for a place that can paint a bumper. I'm talking to a guy in Cali who put a bodykit on his car and wants to sell his 98 milano coupe bumper so maybe I can luck out by getting that and having it match my car.

Justin - Can you find out how much it would cost to paint a bumper from your friend?

how much do you think it will cost to get a bumper, 2 lips, and side skirts painted? at the frinds place taht works for h&r springs?
