i have a b16 sir-1 in my eg. in my attempt to make it idle better (idles fine, but at 1000-1100 when warm), i replaced the intake mani (the old school one with one of those vaccum dashpot things) with a usdm p30 intake mani and my old iacv from my stock motor.

i used think that all b-series tb's were the same. but theyre not. some have a built in fast idle valve, some dont have the the fitting on top for the charcoal canister. i need the fitting for the charcoal canister to pass smog, and my usdm mani doesnt have a provision for a separate fast idle valve, like the jdm one i replaced. since i still have the jdm tb on there, there's a tiny leak on the gasket, where the fiav on the tb is supposed to go. =P stupid sir-1. no imrovement in idle. its still a bit high, and now its bouncy when cold

cliff notes: jdm sir-1 intake manifold has the fiav separate from the tb, tb doesnt have fitting for charcoal canister
