choices for k24 type s in ep daily driver
Joey what up it's John.. I think we should build it n/a. http://www.p1auto.com/bigblockep/ep.htm Now that **** is with a stock si head and stock k24 internals as well. With the type-s head and some custom forged 12.5:1 compression pistons it will be insane. Notice the combo in the link with stock k20a head and k24 block will yield a much lower compression than a stock type-s and it still kicks its *** except in the extreme low end. Now throw a k20a3 head which you have with type-r cams and a worked k24 block yielding 12.5 compression and that thing will make some crazy power. Add basic boltons and custom hondata flash and your running 12's all motor.

oh not familiar with roadrace tracks, no drag times i suppose. Also in those dynos why did you choose to rev the motor under 7k. I understand the rod stroke ratio isn't as good for high reving with the k24, but it looks as if you could raise it a tad to say 7500-8000 with the prb head, no??
Hey Jack, don't mean to bombard you with questions, but what did you think of the stock k24 sleeves. We haven't pulled the stock k20a3 on joeyballz's car yet so i don't know yet, but did you notice any differences in width of the k24 sleeves vs the k20a3's? Most likely this is going to be a boosted project aiming for 350 or so whp on pump gas and was debeating whether to use a block guard or shell out the money for some aebs sleeves. thanks for your replies.

If you want to keep it reliable and if your shooting for 350whp then you'll surely need to address the internals of any K-series.

Jack, since you seem to know what your talking about when it comes to this topic I was wondering if you could answer a couple of questions I had. With your K24 type s swap what tranny did you use? How would my ep3 tranny be compared to the dc5? Thanks in advance.
I have driven both a JRSC K24(A2) and a Turbo K20A2. I would pick the supercharged car for a daily driver and the turbo car if you want top end and max horsepower. I voted for the JRSC above. Check out the link for info on both.
