Default help! - Blew up h22a

I've just blew up my boosted h22a and am just wondering if i change the pistons to wiseco forged low com (8.3-8.5) should i get the standard bore (so i don't have to resleeve) ones or should i go 20 or 40 thou bore?
Also, when changing the the gasket i was thinking a cometic one but should i get the higher comp one or drop the comp even lower?
I'm goin to get the rods shot peened and bottom end balanced aswell.
I've got a t3 on a custom manifold ect, 3 inch exhaust, ems, 440cc injectors,ect...

Thanks!

well if you are going to get those pistons you should get standard bore...get the the gasket that will help increase your compression..8.3:1 is really low...

don't bother trying to run regular forged pistons in an h22a, w/o sleeving, the FRM sleeves don't like regular forged pistons. You will either need to resleeve, or try out those new weisco coated pistons that can run in an FRM sleeve.

how exactly did you 'blow' it? That makes a big difference on your options

Chubs,

If you blew your crank seal and then right after were running lean and continued to drive home ... there could be more than just pistsons needed in your setup to keep you on the road a bit longer...

Post your whole setup and let honda-tech help you

You shouldn't even consider purchasing parts until you've torn the engine down and found exactly what has failed. And I wouldn't recommend running any forged piston without sleeving the block, regardless of whether said piston is supposedly compatible with FRM.

heres the whole setup:
h22a in 5th gen accord
t3 turbo with custom manifold
5 psi boost
intercooler
3inch exhaust from turbo back
standard injectors
afm
malpassi fuel regulator
oil cooler
Thats it.
i haven't bought anything yet just trying to get an early diagnosis until my mechanic has some time to pull the engine apart. The car was untuned and i have not been giving the car a hard time. Only been reving it to 3krpm and driving it like a bitch.
The car was still driving alright when on boost but when coasting it slightly it was jerking abit.

I agree with the above posts... don't even bother thinking about parts until you know what all you've destroyed.

You could be looking at a whole lot of mess way past what you could imagine.

If I can recommend anything to you it will be this

Sleeves
Forged Pistons
Hondata or AEM EMS with tuning
Bigger injectors
J+S Safeguard

Do it right, do it once or you'll be back here soon enough with another klunking motor.

Chubbs, I dont want to start bashing on you .. nor do I want to see it happen but ..

When you got your turbo what research did you do before you put it on ???

I'm running N/A stock H23 (intake/exhaust) and i've researched and researched and researched through peoples threads/experiences since the first day I got my 4gen (Aug 2002).

I couldn't imagine just putting a turbo & manifold on a stock H22 engine without some sort of turning or engine management system.

Depending on what damage is done to your vehicle, I really think the best advice I can give you is to get your engine running N/A(if you need your car) and leave the turbo off unless you can buy the above things that Satan_SRV mentioned and have it tuned right away.

The guys on this message board are wicked and can give you tonnes of advice on the right buildup.

I really dont know how to describe what the J&S Safeguard does. Do a google search for J&S Safeguard.
