My Eg is on jacks since the Rotas are getting balanced tommorrow. I cleaned them real good tonight, from the inside out using car wash soap, sponge, and elbow grease. I would like to put some kind of protectant on the rims before I mount them back on the car. I am thinking Meguiars wax #3 in the 3 step I use on my car should be fine since they're painted.
Thanks for any tips on this

You don't need a special wax for wheels. Don't let marketing fool you. Whatever you got in the garage is fine. Wheels stay low and take a beating from brake dust, water, dirt, and crap on the road. The wax will not stay on long anyways. But it's all good to wipe on a coat for the average car guy.
