Default LS valve covers interchangable?

Can I use a 98-01 valve cover on a 95 LS?

I hear there are modifications you have to make, but i'm not too sure what it is exactly. but it won't fit straight up.

my buddy tried it, he has an ls in his hatch, he got a silver '98 valve cover and it didnt fit on his '95 ls head. he had to mod it, i'll ask him what he had to do..

pcv valve is the difference.
