Center Console on a 90 Civic
you can do it. you will have to remove your center console, and then remove the ashtray/cigarette lighter part, that unscrews with 4 screws.
next you will have to get the center from an intergra, the 94-97 model.
rescrew two screws back into the center console, they are the ones that would have held the cig/ashtray assembly together, the reason for this is that the tips of the screws will stick out a little bit. they will help hold the integra center console onto the civic center consol. you can try this without the two screws first to get an idea of what I am talking about
next, place the teg center console into your civic and try and line up the consoles together the best you can, your gonna have to kinda bend it to make it fit, but you can do it..
oh yeah, before you do this, secure the civic center console on each side first, you might have to use longer screws to do this
ok, so align the teg center and on the right side you should be able to use the stock hole to secure the console, but on the left side you will have to 'make' a hole somewhere near the top of the teg console
next I used a roll of electrical tape to 'level' the teg console near the middle of the console (where the armrest and console connect)
screw tthat in, and you are set!
I will see if I can get some pics put up in a coupla days
hope that helps

for those who's done this, hows the space inbetween the cupholders and the shifter when in 1,3,5th? does it hit eachother? im also looking into this mod so i can get some freking cup holders. thanks
There is a lot of room between the shifter and the cup holders. Problem is the cup holders are small and basically just made for 12 oz cans. The armrest is the best part of this mod and the reason I did mine.

yeah those are stock si seats i have them too. hey did you mold the console together?? the integra w/ the radio portion of the ef/?? because mine doesn't look that good but i still like it.
i got my center console w/ no lighter or ashtray or brackets for 904 :-*( . now i need to find the ashtray lighter and rear bracket. also i've noticed that you have to make something to hold the center together or haveing the rear brackets might help but i don't know right now. is there a acura place like majestic honda.com?????
could you do a write up? I am in the process of installing one right now... and nothing seems to fit properly... any tips and tricks are greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Thanks
i got mine for $20 without the armrest...i got the arm rest for $25 and i picked up a backseat and used the cloth to recover the armrest the same as the seats...turned out real nice
After a little bending and drilling, the console is in, but the armrest portion is still not secured. It's just laying on top of the ebrake, but it seems to stay put, since it is "press fitted" between the seats. Looks like I will have to make a custom bracket.... unless someone knows of a factory bracket that will work.
