Default Tranny questions

i have a few questions to ask that should help me on making a decision here soon on what to buy... First off, the car, is a 96 vtec w/ 90,000 mi on it, 5th gear synchro is out and i want a new tranny (and a few other parts). first of all, the tranny, i want to get a jdm lsd tranny with slightly lower gears (4th and 5th) like the M2B4, but is this a good tranny to get? will all other H22 clutches fit on w/o any problems? or should i look into the euro-r's? and are there any others that i should consider...? keep in mind LSD. Also i havent had much luck looking around, are there places that im missing, where can i get the "best" deal? i do understand that sum of these probably dont come to cheap. the tranny will be being used on an N/A car so it doesnt have to be crazy like it would for boost. But this car will more than likely see a few track days and possibly be used in NASA or sumthin.

Also as in terms or clutches and flywheels, what do you guys recomend? i need sumthin that i can drive daily (like a sprung clutch) but one that can take a beating, and one that grabs good. just so u know, some motor work will be done within the next year so it wont exactly be stock.

and as for flywheels i want something lighter but not an 8lb, again, something that can be used for daily driving, and finally what materials should i consider?

Thanks guys!

the m2b4 is the jdm lsd tranny. From what i hear its great. I wish i had the extra money for it when i bought my swap. I really regret it now. But anyway i dont know much about the euro r. Any H or F series clutch/flywheel/tranny combination will work except the sh tranny i think due to the atts.

I would recommend an ACT clutch. Perfect for daily driving and great for racing. I got the street strip clutch/heavy duty pp and i love it.
nuthin's better than chirpin third...well i guess chirpin fourth but u see where im goin with this

I really wish I knew as well. I found a guy selling a type-s with atts around here for 2000 and he said the same price for spec-s lsd, I would love to find that or euro-r for around 1500

I guess I should be thankful I got the M2B4 huh , seems it's like a hard to find tranny. But anyways here are the other trannys you are looking for...

1. Euro R H22A (T2W4)
2. Accord Type R (U2Q7)

If you want the gear ratios for these two trannys look on this thread, https://honda-tech.com/zero...age=1
