Ehhh.... not my cup of tea, but if you like it then congrats man.

 

Somehow that 3 series across the street kinda looks outta place. Not one for camaros but TQ is always a good thing. It won't matter how much people flame you cause that **** will smoke out the majority of hondas here being stock.

IMO a single cam 1.6L running that time is much more impressive than a huge V-8 running the same time. Who cares if its stock, it costs more.

 

Nothing wrong with some domestic muscle. Good investment for people that want to have a quick car straight out of the box.

i like the sol more

 

i used to have a z28....now i have a hatch with a gsr motor....i like the civic better for several reasons...insurance...gas.....handling....car built for the driver, everything is more accesible and where it should be....and the major reason is that the camaro's visibility is horrible.....the dash is right in the middle of your line of vision.....but for tq....it's amazing....and with some flowmasters...omg....sounds beautiful. Another reason i didn't like it is that the interior had a very cheap feel to it. It had the same shift **** as a cavalier and as a c5 corvette....the worst part was that it was an auto.....anyways.....try autocrossing the z28.....you lose sight of the cones as soon as you get close to them...and don't be surprised to do some sweet powerslides/donuts.

 

but gas mileage sucks

old car was a low 11 second car.....

anyways I still got a EG coupe with a gsr motor (waiting to get out of paint shop), R6 and access to a few 500+ hp civic's... so life is pretty good these days

you would be very surprised how a camaro can take a corner,mine could take them like a rail.they are low,have a wide wheel base and being rear wheel drive they are alot more fun to get a corner with than a front wheel drive." in my opinion "

Me too, and I don't even like Sol's. Congrats I guess, but I can't help but wonder why you'd put up a pic of your domestic deluxe on this board. It's really nice that there are those of the opinion that your new ride in stock form, will smoke most of the Hondas here. That's neat and great, but maybe those guys are missing the point. Maybe they're just settling for a Honda now until they can get what they really want. Look guys, I finally graduated to a REAL car, just like Disco Dan!
I think that the whole purpose is being defeated if you can just drop down the dough and step on the pedal to be fast. There's a certain satisfaction that can't be described when Captain Camaro or Mr. Mustang pulls up next to you at a light with his hair sprayed GF in the passenger's seat, all smug and smirky, and you ******* WALK AWAY FROM HIM in your 2 dollar Civic like he was a senior citizen trying to make it up a 2nd flight of stairs. That's why I bought a 4 Cylinder Civic. Not because I really really wanted a Mustang, but only had enough for a Civic and a can of beans. It's fast because I MADE it that way, not because I BOUGHT it that way. I don't hate and I'm not being a hypocrite when I say I love just about all fast cars, but I thought this was Honda Tech, not Fast Car Tech. I have a beat '75 VW camper and a shitty Mitsu PU truck but I don't mention them on here because honestly, who gives a ****?
