Default Is it ok to pry off the side moldings on my car?

the moldings on my door (just the door not the moldings on the 1/4 panel) are really shitty so i bought some new ones, can i just pry them off and then push the new molding in? i dont care if i bend/break the old moldings because i'll throw them away anyways

and yes i did a search...

ok, please do it the right way.
remove your door panel, remove the plastic lining, and you will see the clips that hold the molding to the door.
it will be alot safer and easier if you do it this way instead of just ripping them off of the door.

u can rip them off but you may damage the door or cause waves in the door from the pulling. but hey, its your car, do whatever you want. You can take a big poo in the driver's seat if it make ya happy. hehe

if he does rip the molding off and breaks the clips can you just go down to auto zone and buy more or do you have to order them...
