Default JDM Conversion Pics (56k beware)

I finally got my car back last week. My car was a hit about 2 months ago and I posted it on here:

I bought my JDM conversion from Brian Wong, some of you may remember that post...I'm not even going to go there. Anyway, I finally got the conversion done except I'm still waiting on the driver's side side marker light. Enough of the words, here's the pics:

Anyone notice a certain PY in the garage???

Let me know what you guys think, I know that I still need some little things. I know that this is HT so I've got my flame suit on.

Brad

car looks sweet and clean... all i say is lower the ITR just a little to give it a more agressive look from the front and maybe pick up a CF lip that would look sick but thats my 2cents

The front end looks real good, but is there some fitment issues on the drivers side, where the fender and bumper meet?

Car looks good, now time to slam it

Exactly what I was going to point out. The fender and bumper should be flush. The plastic white clip that holds the bumper up needs to be readjusted. Either that or the corner screw meeds to be tightened. You are not supposed to be able to see the inside of the fenderwell like in your pics.

Please explain what kind of harness that is, and how its mounted? Do you have a roll cage?

It is obvious that there is no rollcage. It is also easy to see how it is mounted to that brace on the headrest. I guess this would be ok for low speed autocross, but would be a big mistake on anything fast.

Even autocross has a chance of rolling, but it's not likely. I definitely wouldn't use that harness on the street without at least a roll bar though.

I still don't understand how the harness is mounted. What does the little thing on the headrest do? Does it guide the harnesses? Where do the ends of the harness mount to? It looks like it is going behind the seat but that would be more than 45 deg from the horizontal or whatever the maximum is.

Conversion looks good. You might want to look at the fitment at the driver's side though.

I'm glad everything worked out with you and the seller.

I love all of these peoples comments. Easy to see why the ITR forum is like it is...

Love the pics Brad. Weekend get-togethers are a everyweek thing for us nowdays. The pic of Raheels Si is hot. Cant wait to get that thing rolling correct. If you need help with the bumper i dont mind helping if any is needed.

Whats next???

seems like it holds the harnesses out of the way....so he can use a regular seat belt for daily driving.......

No, there is no rollcage in the car. The harness is an RCI and it is just used for auto-x. The cable around the headrest is to keep them in proper place and to hold them since I don't use them on the street. The are mounted to the rear bolts that the seat mounts to the frame with. It works really well for autocross but I just use the standard seat belt around town.
