Default 99 4 cyl - wouldn't start

Drove a few blocks to store. Tried to restart 30 minutes later. I wasn't sure it was running so I turned the key off. After that it would crank but would not start. I waited 10 minutes and tried again and it started. When I got home I was able to restart it without a problem. Did I do something wrong by turning it off when I wasn't sure it was running?

I've never had that problem (not starting) in my '99 I4, sounds like you flooded the engine.

I know the engine is quiet, get in the habit of looking at the tachometer to see if the engine is running.

You.. you definetly flooded the engine.. those f23s in the 6th gens are undetectable in sound.. its crazy.. even if you are outside the car.. you can barely hear it. Just make sure to watch the tach when you start it.

After I sent my post I remembered that I should have looked at the tach before turning the key off.
Thanks
