DC2: What glass to use with carbon fiber hatch??
I've seen a couple of places that sell the carbon fiber hatch replacements. What glass would you use with those? Fal lists an item number 9094B, but that does'nt say if its the rear window. Just described as back-half
Anyone?
Anyone?
I tried andrewsimportperformance, and he said that he thought that it was only available for a 4 door as a trunk lid. There is a H-T member on this board with the carbon hatch and fal window, but I need to know the part number and cost.

SOOOOOO clean
if I had the extra money to throw around, I'd invest in that.

Don't care about Blinging...
Weight is not an issue with me. I have two hatches for my car that I'm rebuilding. The hatch on the car has busted glass, dents in the sheet metal, and holes for a spoiler. Add it up. By the time the body man spends fixing and painting, and then swapping glass, the carbon hatch is cheaper. Maybe without the glass it is. Might as well go carbon

egcivicturbo, your car looks very nice
how well does that Fal window fit in the hatch? It appears fitment is very good.

Isn't putting 'glass' in that defeating the whole purpose (saving some weight). Doesn't saving weight from the B-pillar forward make more sense? Lastly, Hondas do not bling.

saving weight from the floorpan up usually makes sense.

Damn, that looks wicked. Is there a possibility though the FAL sticker can be removed from the glass? Its cool, but I would be even better to no sticker back there. Is there really a noticable difference in the rear due to the lighter back end, or is it really not that light? Looks great.

correct but spending close to $800 to shed weight in the rear vs. spending that same money to shed weight in the front is a waste. our cars are front biased enough. this just increases that front bias.
i think that's the point doubleA was trying to make.
doubleA - your honda blings. and according to compton *** terry it's bling blaou

Think about that for a minute. 98% of the car is from the floorpan up. Anyway, I was referring to F/R balance, not total weight savings

The reason the FAL window fits nice is because it has a little flex to it. So even if it doesn't fit properly right when you get it. A little heat and a couple friends can get it fitting like oem.

No, you want to remove weight from the ROOF down.
