Default d16z6 intake mani vs y8 intake mani?

Simple Q
is the y8 alot better?
for a mild N/A setup, say on a d16 with a thinner head gasket, and a cam.

is it worth the extra money, and time spent finding one?

what about for a turbo setup?

thanks alot.

just get a JG or a skank

but if you're cheap...go ahead and get hte y8. the larger plenum and more optimized runners will be nice

but if you want ueber power...get a custom one made. Sheet metal ownz. PM if interested.

errr, I dont really see the point in sheet metal,
dont you end up with a BOX shaped IM ??
I mean, yeah it looks cool, and is probably ALOT lighter, definetely good,

but I'd rather have a nice curved cast mani,

whats the price difference on aftermarket mani's vs a y8,
are the y8's much more expensive than a z6?
(i'm not swaping out for one, i'm trying to decide which to go with on a pieced together z6 setup).

thanks a bunch.

y8's are cheap

but a sheet metal isthe only way to really make good power. you can't have an intake manifold that's a bolt on and expect it to be the best.

i still say go sheetmetal custom, and pm me if interested.

if not, go with a JG or skunk2
