My 1998 Championship White Type R was stolen in New York near Brooklyn I believe, while on a truck getting shipped to me here in Waukegan IL. Please anyone who knows anything or has seen it please notify me ASAP!! The car was loaded with JDM goodies: Full JDM front, Red Recaros etc. I bought it off Steve from Eastcoast motor sports! I will post further information as it progresses. Please HELP!!!! If you see any JDM parts being sold here or on any other sites near NY please post!! The shipping company said that whle the truck was parked someone used big wooden boards to drive the car down the ramp. There was traces of the window being broken so I'm guessing it was hot wired. Me and the previous owner think it might be foul play with the driver like someone might have paid him off, the shipping company says he will be questioned. The bottom line is the car is gone


I SAY THE WINDOW WAS BROKEN CUZ THE SHIPPING CO. SAID THE POLICE FOUND GLASS AND BIG WOODEN LUMBER. IT MUST HAVE BEEN SEMI-PROFFESIONAL MAYBE 3 GUYS. IT WAS SUPPOSED TO BE A THREE CAR PICK UP BUT THE THIRD CAR POSTPONED TILL' THE NEXT MORNING AND THAT IS WHY MY CAR HAD TO STAY OVERNIGHT ON A FLAT BED RIG IN BROOKLYN!!! I SWEAR FORCES OUT OF MY CONTROL DON'T WANT ME TO OWN AN R. I F#CKIN HATE THIEVES!!!!!!!! THAT CAR HAD OVER 30K INVESTED IN IT!!!! THE SHIPPING COMPANY COULDN'T HAVE SCREWED UP ANY WORSE!!!

i'd sue the **** outta the trucking company,**** cant get stolen in their hands and you pay for it,theyre jobs to get it to u the way u saw it or bought it...plain and simple......youll get paid dont worry....good luck

wow this sucks bigtime. i had heard about this a few days ago. i know a couple guys that know steve and they told me, shocked as hell what people would do for an R and i even gave that R 1st place for jdm at import expression a few years back.

OMFG...i know the car, i am friends with the guys over at East Coast (mostly Charles but i do know them all) and that was one hell of a car, i am soooo sorry about this...it had to be rigged...no one would leave an R in brooklyn, everyone knows how high the theft rate is...i'd dig as deep as you can into it and don't give up. Since i am local (long Island) i will keep my eyes and ears open for parts for you. again, i'm sorry!
