Body repair manuals or books.
Hey people, i wasnt sure to put this here or in the tech forums, so bear with me.
Anyway, i was wondering if anyone has read anybooks, or guides on how to do body work on a vehicle. I have a few scratches and dents that i want to take care of, and i want to do it right.
I want to sand them down, pre coat, primer, paint, and clear them, but im unsure of what materials to use for the best results, and what procedures to take. If anyone has read something like this, that they thought was helpful, please lemme know what it was.
Thanks
Joel

It is quite a bit of work if you decide to fix dents that way because then you most probably will have to end up painting that entire panel. You could always try pulling the dents out or using files/hammers to try and push them out for paintless dent removal. It might not turn out 100% perfect because your not experienced yet at it, but it'll be easier than painting the whole panel, or possibly the whole side of the vehicle.
well, thats just it. I plan one painting the entire vehicle, not myself, at a body shop. I just want to do all of the other work first, save money, plus somthing for me to do for fun.
Then i would take it to a body shop, have them go over everything i did, and fix what i didnt have perfect, and then paint it.
