Can't have anything nice ***PICS***
OK, on the way home someone slams on their brakes because, god forbid, they almost missed their turn. Now I understand, people come to quick stops... This **** hole torqued his brakes bout 20 ft TOPS from his left turn and came to a screeching hault from a 45-50mph roll. I'm behind him and instead of slamming into him, I swirve to the right, loose traction from the moisture and slam into a 6-7" tall curb going about 50ish. I guess there are upsides to this scenario; 1) I didn't hit the other car & 2) My left rims didn't hop up the curb and I didn't end up barrelling into a forest of trees at 50mph.
From this pic, all looks OK.

The front right fender.

The front lip, both sides.

The outside of the front right rim.

The inside of the rear left rim.

well i didn't give any information to the cops as to what kinda car it was... so if someone calls in reporting their car turned over on its roof, they won't look at me first.

I feel for you. I had my rex on the road for about 48 hours. (and it took me 2 years to build). anyways, on my way home I was turning left, completely stoped, and some dumb drunk hit me head on. Then he drove off. Of course my two year project was totalled, so now I had to start all over. I HATE STUPID PEOPLE.
How close were you? Riding his ***? If you were the legal distance away from him you should have been able to stop.
If you weren't tailing him then there should be some marks on the street since the guy slammed on his brakes. If this is the case then you can call the cops and report it.

i was legal distance behind him... the cops did show up and take a report of the incident and i showed them where he stopped.

hate to see such a nice car torn up......but,bottom line-you should be following at a distance far enough that you can stop in time to avoid the car......two seconds following distance is what the DMV book says, adjusted to road/weather conditions.a good rule of thumb is that the car in front of you should be able to stop DEAD in it's tracks, and you should be far enough behind and paying enough attention that you could stop before you hit it...
again,i'm not preaching.
