ive been hearing 14/8.5. but others say run 13's or light srett stleeies doesnt sliks take 1/2 sec off with good driving? what would u guys run ,slick wise, wiha 91 hatch, (1900) lbs, 140 hp, what size slicks?
still lost..
still lost..
id say none, with such little HP ur car is goin to fall flat on its face with slicks. would they help? yeah prolly, but with a car like that its a waste of money.
Man.. my ZC ran 13.9 all motor with 122hp on a dyno jet. Use the slicks that sircrxracer told you to use and you WILL turn some good numbers at that weight. The car will NOT fall flat on it's face if you launch it right.
Man.. i'd expect better info from someone with 2000+ posts and a 12 second car.
They guy just wants to have some fun at the track - not brake records...

Going to have to agree with him. 13's would hook too well with the HP you have, bog the motor.

Lol, actually I work at a Scion dealership. I'm still waiting for someone to announce the arrival of the mount kit to swap a 2ZZGE before I make a purchase.

good call. 20" might be maxed out at that hp/weight. 22" leave room for improvement. although i'm guessing the 20" might squeez a couple tenths more off the 1320. As always - it comes down to how much money you have to burn.

I used my old 22x8x15" on my friends bone stock 1990 Honda hatchback it was the Canadian model with the 4 speed tranny. We took it to the track one day just for the hell of it to see what it would run. It was running the stock clutch with 160k on the odometer and it would hook up and go with those slicks and I bet it was only putting about 70hp out to the wheels. That was a fun day at the track with one of the slowest cars there!
But anyways I think that I would try the 22x8x15's so that way you have room to grow into those if you do run into more power. I also used those same slicks on my 98 Civic EX with a 60 shot of nitrous and they did fine.

The best that it ever ran was 10.1 or so in the 1/8th we never even tried to run that heap at a 1/4 mile strip. I could launch out on all kinds of cars. We unbolted the exhaust and took out the rear and passenger seat and took out the intake filter. That is all we did and I was beating Hyundai Tiburons (what a joke), Toyota Celica's, and I could launch out on other Civics but they would catch up and get me especially the Civic with a ZC swap.
