Just heard a report that on top of the NYC attack, pentagon just had a plane crash into it. Don't panic, but if you work in a high profile building, get out.

 

I attend a private, small high school in southern california. During first period today, the principle came on the intercom and said if you wanted to leave you could, and it will be excused. i'd say about 75% of the students left, then about 10% more after first period....

Not a high profile building, but other small places are being closed down also. (if that mattered to anyone)

Most major and minor roads around Northern VA and DC are closed right now.
I'd walked home around 10 AM this morning when they closed down all the area Fededal Buildings, and just rode my bicycle in to pick up my car now that traffic is virtually nonexistant.
It was weird not seeing any planes coming in or taking off from national airport, and on the walk home along the G W bikepath, seeing a bunch of military helicopters circling the airport, and then a private jet getting a cloae escort by a LOADED F-16 (or one of those).
