J's Racing engine damper...
Mount inserts will give you better performance since the engine is still allowed to move with a dampener. The dampener is for dampening vibrations.
Thats right, the eng still moves with the dampener. Get the mounts instead if you want more power to the grownd. I have the HaSport mount set and the eng. does not move at all. 98ctr
I DO NOT want to get aftermarket mounts or inserts, I cant stand the vibration. Im not trying to make my integra superfast or anything like that, but when i shift hard, the mounts definetly feel a little weak. Ill let them stay weak and replace broken ones when I need to if thats what i have to do, cuz Im not putting hard mounts in the car. Been there and done that with my crx. However, if the J's racing mount could help keep the motor from kicking back so hard when I shift, and do it without vibrating, Id be all for it. So does anyone know if it vibrates?

HMMM random thought but since the J's damper is just that, a damper...i doubt this would work but since my car has HASPORT mounts in it now...would this damper lessen any of the vibration...i doubt it could get worse (not that i'm complaining, it doesn't bother me but less would be nice...you know.) Any ideas, it was a random thought at 2:15am and who knows.......any input? Ah hell, it looks cool, i may buy one down the road anyway...wanna talk about overkill lol.

i am running the dampener in my EK w/ mugen mounts. definately has a bit more vibration at idle compared to w/o the dampener. the motor is vibratind and it takes that energy into the dampener which is connected to the body of the car and vibrates it even more. noticed a difference with it on the car. feels more like the power is going to the ground w/ the dampener. made a difference IMO.
just get some mugen ones...definite imporvement over stock ones. it's a hard rubber and doesn't vibrate the car a whole lot compared to urethane inserts. the dampener vibrates more at idle.
The damper is supposed to absorb the vibrations and tranfer it to the chassis so that's why your car will feel a bit more erractic. Supposidly it helps the car absorb the engine vibrations from hard shifting when declerating and accelerating, I can see that this damper would prove more beneficial on a race track. A lot of Japanese race cars have this damper in their engine bay. 5Zigen also makes one and you can find it on http://www.jdmgears.com.
Wow, the 5zigen is almost twice the price of the J's racing. Thanks, but no thanks. I think Im gonna go ahead and order the J's racing, Ill let you all know how it is with stock mounts as far as performance and vibration.
