Severe Power Window Problem
Well I'm about ready to choke people (not really, just tempted)
I just got this thing to stop throwing cel code 22s when the drivers side window just dropped. I got the door panel off and peeled the water shield back to where I can get to the bottom of the window. I could only lift it about 1.5-2 inches. I looked into the top where the cables feed down the lift for the window. I could only see one. Is there supposed to be 2? Any ideas? Please let me know.

Yep. Looks like the cable snapped. I have a Honda salvage yard pretty close by(like a Honda Wal-Mart
). I might get a whole new door. I need a PDL motor and PW switch panel anyway. It's gonna suck trying to replace it though. Has anyone done it before. From the looks of it, I might need some pointers.

Ok, I got the regulator to fix the window. Has anyone swapped one of these out? Will I need to remove the glass? I hope not. Please let me know.
it's really not too bad. The first thing to keep in mind is your not going to hurt the plastic by removing it. Just try and keep it in one piece and peel from the edges.
There are only 2-3 bolts (i'm infering from other regulator jobs) connecting the window to the regulator. Once you open up the panel, it's pretty easy. Your hands will get torn up though so put on some latex gloves. Have fun..

That's good. I'm also changing out the power door lock actuator too. It went out on me about a month ago (an EX without PWDLs really sucks, you get spoiled
). Will I have to take the door apart completely? Or can I replace both the regulator and actuator with the door intact (minus the door panel and water shield)??

actually, you can't take apart the door completely. Don't worry -> once you pop off the door panel (& possibly remove the door speaker), everything will become obvious. Honestly, the whole job is about removing 10-15 10mm bolts and 3-4 12mm bolts then reinstalling the whole thing (aka "reverse of removal"). Budget 2-3 hours & enough daylight the first time around.

Well I fixed it. It wasn't bad at all. Turn out a rivet at the end of one of the steel cables snapped. When it fell it put a really nice gash in the window tint. The door lock motor sucked though. Took a while to get it out and line it with the door lock lever. If anybody else has any problems with the window or lock motors, let me know and I'll help walk you through it.
