Default to shot peen r not

well i heard that gsr rods are good to 9k rpm but the rod bolt wouldn't cut it so I bought arp rod bolt. now do i need to get the rods shot peened or should i leave them alone. And one more thing. Are Itr rods balanced thanks

Crio freeze them instead of shot peening... Have a machine shop balance the rods for you...
