Am I the only one getting shocked?
Hey, what's up everyone! I'm a new member and just had a quick question. Is it just me or does anyone else get shocked when they turn their teg off and get out and shut the door? It happens to me everytime i get out of my car and its startin to **** me off. Just wonderin if anyone knew why it happens and what I can do to stop it from happening....appreciate it if anyone got back to me on this topic. Thanks guys!

I get it too, even down if Fl, as soon as its below 70, zap, I get shocked. I think that it is the friction from the seat and your legs combined with the cold produces Static Electricity. Its a pain in the ***, I get it walking in the mall, I'll touch someone and I ll shock them, playing tennis or anysport. as well. Kinda Weird.
Just touch your girlfriend/boyfiriend/wife/husband before you get out!

i've yet to get shocked. Im in florida, we had our coldest day since last winter today, 60 or so in the morning and 70-80 all day. maybe i'll get shocked when it gets a lil colder
Now that I think of it I get shocked every time I get out of my car too. Can't remember what it is, something about the weather and electricity that comes around in the winter. I laugh and natures puny attempt at killing me.

I get shocked all the time.........EVERYBODY WHO OWNS A HONDA/ACURA will tell you the same thing. I havent really gotten shock just because its been raining...but I remember a few months ago, I was getting shocked/passengers were getting shocked when they were getting out of the car. I remember that a few times, i've actually seen a spark coming from my key to the trunk...its pretty crazy! but, you'll get used to it.........best thing to do is right before you get out w/ your key in hand...touch the key to something metal (somewhere on your door jam)...you'll probably here a pop or even see a spark...this only works sometimes though.

HAHA!
Funny you should post this.
For a while, I was afraid to touch the door for fear of being shocked. I get shocked BAD when I get out of my car.
I think its because, I have bucket seats, and their are tough to get out of, so I build up alot of static electricity.
Yea, I get shocked bad.... alot.

Living in dry, hot Arizona, you get shocked all year round. The best way to not get shocked at all is to open the door a little, then touch the outside metal around the window *BEFORE* you start moving around inside the car.
i think its because if you move around in your cloth seat too much youll build up static electricity and it used to always happen to me so now i try not to move around in my seat.

Its almost impossible to not move around alot, and get out of a bucket seat.
I'm doomed.
