Default Piping diameter question...2.25" or 2.5"?

hey whats up guys...Im running a pretty much stock b18b with gsr tranny, and the usual bolt-ons...jdm itr header, 2.25" hks piping with test pipe. I recently picked up a Vision muffler with a 2.5 rear section. I noticed gains all throghout the powerband, mostly mid range and top end. The b18b isn't going to be fully built, but definitely in the NA category. I will eventually add a mild cam, aem fpr., throttle body, in. manifold, and reprogram to OBD-1 spec. Would it be a waste if I went with a full 2.5" exhaust system with my current set-up right now?would I lose/gain power? any input, comments, suggestions will help and be welcomed.

well if your planing to do a little more...go with the 2.5...there'd be no point to put 2.25 on and then have to change it again..

Probably won't gain much sizing up. A little, but not a significant different, although every little bit helps. But if you are later going to add more stuff on you might consider the 2.5" for future sake. The gains will be greater going up.

i would recommend gettin a 2.5 in setup. it wont give you big gains... but its signiticantly worth it. especially in the higher rpms.

You'll be fine with 2.25.

2.5" all the way will give you a good set up for now and for the upgrades later. 98ctr
