my freind has a ctr intake cam he gave to me but he says its bent...the cam is pretty durable i wouldn t see how it is bent, doesn't look bent at all. but if it is bent would a machine shop be able to fix it?

some of you might say "buy a new cam" the plm is im broke as a joke, college student with no job

 

I don't see how it could bend.....

Does it have any unusual wear marks on th lobes?

 

thx for the reply on my post, the cam has a scratch on the lobe. on the bottom though (its not deep just surface wear) and on the op. side of the dizzy theres some grooves that are in it not deep but u can feel it (not on the lobes either , its where the cam caps are)

 

Measure it with a dial indicator and see if its in spec.

 

i was thinking about taking it to a machine shop to have it checked out..or maybe a local junior college's auto class

could some one post a pix of their used ctr intake cam, a close up of the 2 inner lobes?
