Default Post picks of your streetable race car!

We have the race car pic post going. I would like to see some pics of streetable race cars. How far do some of you go with weight reduction in your street car?

My car is not streetable any more. Here is a pic of my civic at the drag strip when it was a street car. I drove 700km to this dragstrip in St.Pie Quebec called Sanair, raced my civic and then drove 700km back home.

To be streetable, shouldn't that include running DOT approved tires (not slicks) and no lexan windows???

Why would lexan windows keep you from running your car on the street? And owning a set of slicks dosen't make your car race only as long as you do have another set of dot approved tires.

I think Paul Efantis would take the cake on this one. He use to drive that thing on the street all the time. He would drive it to 75/80 from the shop which is roughly 15-20 miles away. Either through wooded back roads or Interstate 270. Parachute and all. Must of been an even bigger bitch when he was running the powerglide as opposed to the 3-speed.

Best time is 13.4 @ 107. That was before the slicks and 2000 Feet above sea level.

My 60 foot was a 2.2 Hope to get a 1.9 or even a 1.8 with the slicks!

I have been pulled over twice in this car this last summer. Neither cop said anything about the lexan or the car at all.

The first time I got pulled over I was like "Uh oh, here we go".

KingTut33,

I've noticed your from Florida, does the name Neal Sutton rings a bell. Just wondering, thats a perfect example of a daily driver that runs consistent 12.1s on street tires and wins bracket races at Moroso.

Oh ok, I remember your car now. I thought it had a stock motor in it. I was woundering why it was so close to me.

I might be getting a JR supercharger this winter for the crx. Not sure yet though. See you at the track for sure next year!

Yes, it's a real rally car!

I think the worst part is that although I have 2 other Civics that are just plain better, neither of them work. This one leaks, is stiff as hell and has a kind of sodomy funk to the interior, but god damn is it reliable! Great rally car too.

It's my daily driver. I have a set Hella 500's w/ 130 watt bulbs for backroads driving. It's taken a beating in the rear from my fastest corner ever, but keeps on kicking Street/strip/road course, I'll be there.
