Default Thinking of buying RSX what would be the best Header and exhast combo?

I under stand that toda makes aheader for the RSX, and they give you a sway bar to replace the stock one to make it fit or something along the lines of that. Is there anyother companies that make headers for RSX's? And whats a good exhasut company that makes exhausts preferabley in 2.5inches. Does Kamkimoto make exhasuts for rsx's? I would be running a test pipe also if i got one.

JR Racing Race Header
DC Sports Shorty
Comptech Shorty

the shorties are a waste of money...u get like 4hp for 500 bucks. Comptech Race is around 1K and JR is around 700...best one is comptech makes 20+ whp. JR is good cuz it has a removable test pipe if u want to swap in a high flow cat.

For exhausts anything iwith 2.5+ piping is good for 3-8whp. I chose powergetter cuz its quiet...makes nice numbers(supposedly 8whp), its JDM haha, and I got it pretty cheap for a stainless steel catback</TD></TR></TABLE>
Very nice, but what are the specs on the Toda header compared to the comptech race header? Any pics of both?

The best would be something made custom for your setup, maybe.

TODA is for sale, I think its $1250.

Well if you got the cash then get the best. Why waste money on crap like the shorty headers which make almost zero power. The Dc shorty header made .06 pounds of toq, and lost 1 hp. Not worth it.

Get the best and be happy. Go this route.
Comptech Race header:

And join it with the comptech race exhaust.

The header runs for $995.oo
And the Race exhaust runs $495.00.

Good luck bro.

I agree go with a comptech race header, and comptech exhaust. Best header (2.5 collector) and 2.5 the whole way back thats exactly why its the optimal setup.

Whats the other header?? thats not a jackson is it? its the small collector, looks like a jackson but whats with the flex pipe.? Do they come with a flex pipe now? Or is that a diff header? What does the inside of the flex look like?? Is it really ribbed?

This header looks like the Toda header being used on the DC5R which hits the sway bar. That flex part is supposed to be some what like a cat, from what I have been told. So far all the people with comptech race header have dynoed between 17-19 whp, header alone.

JR also showed very good gains with their header compared to DC's. Check it out on http://www.jacksonracing.com

I dont like the design of that header i prefer the comptech race or even the jackson over that, i like the jackson piece, but it has the smaller collector, still makes about the same power as the comptech. I think the comptech would really shine if mated to its 2.5 inch exhaust counterpart. Im pretty sure the HKS is a 2.25 inch not a 2.5

If you wanna buy a header and exhaust, and dont want to ever rethink your decision, just get a 2.5 in collector header, and 2.5 inch exhaust and you will be happy. It may cost a penny for the comptech ish, but you will have a setup that u should be totally happy with. You may second guess yourself down the road if you go with a shorty header, or a 2.25 collector, especially if you decide to really up the power.

spoon headers are very expensive, but are very good headers. im gonna go buy the jackson racing header. i dunno if its better than comptech RH or not, but its only $615 as opposed to the $900 comptech is asking for. im also thinkin about goin borla exhaust.
