Guys i feel like my life line is running short.....i sit by my window and watch weird cars pass by my house ...rolling by my car... my pitbull sticks around my car like a pig in ****, but its getting cold out here...... you only get one chance w/ a alarm...
what would be your choice for a alarm system...and how long have you had it w/ out any probs.?????....thanx for you help.. this one is on me for all of you

 

an alarm is useless against a flatbed truck. get a garage and a big padlock.

If you have insurance, dont be paranoid.

 

the problem is ....my car is not worth ..insurance wize what i have spent on it...

 

get a pager alarm.. I have one from cumpustar or something.. Beeps loud when your alarm goes off..or a couple beeps if its a warning. Thats the only thief detterent I have is is pretty good unless you are a heavy sleeper..

 

how accurate is that though....does it beep as soon as some one touches your car..or a couple of mins later???? good idea though

 

If you park it in a tight spot it will make it tougher to flatbed. Park a car in front of it if you can.

I would get a kill switch.

 

An alarm won't stop a lot of theives. If they want the car, or anything in it or on it, they will get it. A friend of just got his alarm with one of those pagers. He says he likes it, but that usually when it goes off, it's just because some loud car comes rolling by. This probably doesn't work either, but when I park my car, I always have it facing the house with the tires turned in one direction and the transmission in 1st gear. Doesn't hurt to be cautious and alert, I guess.

 

Get the Cliiford 3.5RS alarm. It is a 2 way pager alarm.

 

The best thing for your car would be:
-A garage with no windows.

If you don't have that, then there is chance for your car to be stolen at anytime. There are quite a few things you can do to limit the chances. But theives will get to it if they want to.

Park where your car can't be towed. Keep in gear and always have the e-brake up. Just little things but they can save the life of you car, the extra time it takes for them to mess around with it, could be the time needed for someone to catch them. Also, let neighbors also know to keep a look out for it...you never know who could help you out. Another thing you could do is go for a sleeper look. Get rid of any GSR emblems or anything that would be easily spotted as a GSR. If you have stock rims maybe get some different ones. Do anything possible if your scared.

If you do a search you'll come up with a ton of ideas. There are so many threads like this. So im sure some helpful info will be in those.

Something else comes to mind about this. Never show-off your car to strangers or any place people you are unfamiliar with are. Another thing, AVOID AT ALL COSTS making enemies with people. Sometimes your enemies can do some f*$#ed up ish to your car (i.e. steal things, dent, key,etc.).

 

thank you every one i installed a kill switch .... and my pitbull barks at anything moving out side.. and i also built him a door so he can get out on his own....and he dont **** around .....

The more things you have in the way of the car gettign taken the better chance that the thieves will move on to the next car.

im not scared of anyone or anything...its just hard seeing your hard work go to waste because of a stupid ****...that has nothing better to do ,than to steal cars...i'm not out there to make enemies..but people are envious..and they want what they dont have...you are right though, those stupid cowards key your car, but dont have enough guts to come to you... anyone who steals a integra should get the death penalty!
