troubleshooting EACV...where does black/yellow wire go???
ok i'm troubleshooting my EACV which is throwing code 14 even though its replaced...mine consists of a blue/white wire and a black/yellow wire...
so instead of trying to find the wire break and fix it i'm going to run wires directly from the eacv sensor to the ecu...i already did this with the blue/white and i'm still thrownig code 14...now i need to do the black/yellow, so where does that go??
anyone have a wiring diagram for this sort of thing? i already checked the online helms with vtec supplement but i can't find anything..i need some help please!!

From what I can tell,It goes to A17 at the ecu..
It also connects to the purge cut-off solenoid on a STD or HF model
and the dashpot control solenoid on an Si.
{This is from an '88 manual if that matters}

yeah i saw that it splits...hmm thats going to be a pain to run a direct wire to ecu then
oh and i have a 89 dx...anyone have any suggestions instead of inspecting the entire damn wire?

You can try it. I would personally pull the pin out of the ECU plug to ensure you don't have a wiring harness problem. Run a direct wire to the EACV and skip the split to the purge.
Is there another wire on the EACV or is A17 it? I would figure that there should be a ground for it someplace.
Actually... from what I can see A17 is empty and A11 has the EACV wire and it's supposed to be blue with a yellow stripe.

oh yeah thats what i meant blue/yellow...yeah i already ran a direct wire from the eacv to that...so just run the black/yellow wire straight to the ecu? will excluding the split and purge and any additional codes?
and from what i could tell i couldn't find a black/yellow running to the ecu...i seriously need a wiring diagram image..all i could find was that vtec supplement.

Have you tried the troubleshooting flowcharts from a manual?

hehehe lucky you i was doing my mpfi swap today and was dealing w/ almost the same thing, the yellow and black is ground, while i believe a11 is the pin at the ecu, atleast that's what my 91 fsm says for the 1.5 ltr
ok so i need to repair the black/yellow leading to #14 fuse..well i looked at the wiring by the fuse box and there is like 3 different wires running to the back...i sure as hell can't tell if they go to the #14 fuse so which area am i looking for???
