Wierd noise from the steering wheel when i turn it. what is it????
There is a wierd noise comming from like under my feet when i turn the wheel in any direction. It makes like a Rubbing sound for like 1 sec then stops then i turn the other way and it does it again. This problem start just recently and i think it could be because of the cold weather. Any ideas on what this noise could be or wut i could check????
Oh I also have a spare tire on the rear left tire could this effect it??

check the tension on your power steering belt or like bubb said you might be low on power steering fluid

maybe the piece under ur fender check that, mine was rubbing everytime i made a turn after i drop my vehicle thats what i notice. its usually that problem.. the powersteering usually doesnt make rubbing noises. check that 1st aights
yeah this is happening to my friends car too ... he bought new rims, they are 17's and i think they are heavy ... so this weird humming noise is coming out from the cv joint i think .. i told him u'r rims are too heavy and their is tension...
