Accord Stuff here in the Accord Forumn?
I understand it's mostly for tech and helpful articles, but if you have ever browsed the 'Classifieds' Section, it's ridiculous with civic/teg items. And if you do post anything up..it drops like 3 pages in 10 mins.
Just a thought that i think that it would be more beneficial to post accord items here for sale and it will be more helpfull to people like me who look for Accord Items than trying to siff through 10 pages of classifieds with one Accord Listing there...
thanks....
Don't get me worng..love the forumn...but i notice threads get locked when it involves for sale items...

This is been discussed numerous times. The classifieds do suck for Accord owners. The problem is many people just register to post their Accord stuff for sale in this forum. No one knows them or their reputation and they could just be a scammer.
Your best bet is to put the items for sale in your sig or make a post in the classifieds and put a link in your signature (or your email addy) with a brief item description. When you post here, people will see it. I've bought stuff from people here just from the link in their sigs. It's not the best way but it does work. Most of the posts in here are the same stuff over & over. It's mostly all been answered in posts from the past couple years anyway.

I've seen what forums turn into when mods do allow for sale threads. it sucks to read and it screws up the search feature.
yeah the classifieds here move fast and it's 99% B/D series stuff. nothing that can be done about that though

We created a Classifieds forum to keep the ads out of the model specific forums.
If we allowed a free for all, it would turn into a mess.
Trial Users can not post in the classifieds forum, so if we allowed Ads in here, people would sign up just to post ads in this forum.
If you would like to see a classified forum for the Prelude, Accord, and maybe the new Si/RSX/TSX, then please send a PM to an Admin or Global Mod and complain. There is nothing I can do about creating a forum. I have posted this idea several times in the Mod Corner, it generally gets ignored.

Thanks for the Clarification Nick. It was just a thought that popped up when i was trying to search for an item for the Accord and had a hard to finding through Classifieds or Search.
I will send in my complain, and if others feel the same way, maybe the complaint list will eventually lead to a change...but the thought about splitting up the Classifieds for classes of Cars is a great idea. Alot more useful and easier to search for items.

I havent had a lot of luck selling anything here but will try the sig idea (thanks)
I would suggest hitting up an accord only forum for buying or selling accord only items....
I dont think an "accord only" classifed section would be a good idea.....it wouldnt be worth the effort imo
and i have seen the prelude forums buyer/seller deal and think its a waste of a post.....too time consuming to go through it/search unfunctional.

best chances for selling=put it in your sig. and ask a mod so you can post an ads in accord forum.
accord stuff is hard to get rid off, my integra and prelude stuff is gone like speeding bullet after i post in classifed forum.

I agree that it would be nice to break the classifieds into different models ... like Accord and Civic. I visit some other forums and I have seen it done that way. Makes it easier for people to zoom in on what they may be looking for.
sounds like a good idea, i'm in.
maybe base it on interchangeability, like civic/integra, accord/prelude, other models, so people don't have to post everything twice for B series swaps, and h22a's and stuff.
