Question on Wiring Vtec into an STD harness

Default Question on Wiring Vtec into an STD harness

Hi,
In the Diagrams i've found using Search

i find that the A8 slot is supposed to be open but that's not the case for my harness i have a wire in there... do i just cut it or what let me know...

Was the car an automatic?
