Default Help!! Clicking from near ECU 96 ex, wont start!!!

ok well i just did a full auto to maual conversion on my girl's 96 ex. we pulled the motor and tranny from a 97 del sol and used the auto ex harness. now, the car wont start, seems to have very very weak or no spark and there is a serious clicking from near the ecu, under the dash on the passenger side. a relay? where are the relays? i know its not the fuel pump cause i can hear the pump relay turn on and off. it happens when i try to crank the car, the starter will work and everything, but it just starts clicking while im trying to start it. please help, i need this car to run for her, she needs to get to school. thanks

It sounds like you have a dead battery. Regardless of what you think, go get it charged or use a battery from a buddys car.

Well check the distributor... It's not the ecu cus an auto ecu will still work... also, make sure you don't have your Thottle Pos. Sensor and Map sensor plugs crossed. I've seen a few swaps where that stopped the car from starting. If the relays worked before the swap, I don't see why they'd stop now... also, make sure you have all the plugs in the ecu plugged securely as well as both distributor plugs and injector plugs (make sure injector plugs are on the right injectors too.)

1 last thing, if you still can't get it to start, plug in any 96-98 Honda/Acura ecu and see if it starts, if it does, you found the problem, but any Hon/Acura ecu will start it

im using a 5 speed 97 ex ecu. and will the TPS and MAP plugs plug into each other? i didnt know they would. any other suggestions? and we checked the distributor, we even swapped it over to one that we know works. its not the dizzy either. but will those plugs make it get REALLY weak spark???

Check your grounds on your thermostat and alternator...i had that problem and it would cause a clicking noise behind the glove box
