Default NEED ADVICE - paint wheel or no?, suspension - pics inside

First, I'm thinking about painting my Kosei 17's jet black. I photoshopped some pics... tell me what you think. Ignore the kid. Heh.

Original

Second, I obviously need a massive drop. I'm running Eibach Prokits on 205/45/17's right now. I dunno, it might be just me, but its really weird. I've seen other people with that setup and the gap isn't that big. My tires+wheels seem small. =\

Does anyone have any advice on how big a drop I should go? I was thinking about H&R Race's, which is 2" front 1.75" rear I believe. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Or is it just the camera?

Thanks for your help

hey man i happen to like black rims, but black or gunmetal would look pretty good IMO...the h&r race springs actually i think drop it closer to 2.5"s..its a big drop and you would have to drive with more caution not to bottom out..my friend has the races on his g2integra and its low as u know what lol..looks good but he scrapes a lot...i just bout neuspeed sports which is 1.8" dorp for my car and thatll look good IMO..its all in what u want..but the eibach prokits arent for people lookin for a low drop...i think at the most they drop what 1.5"? and tahts at the most i think...but yea its all in what u like man..

i think the black looks better than silver, but i'm still partial to gunmetal Your car does look a bit high, i have sportlines and it looks good(but i run fat fives with a 50 series tire). You might get more hits in the appreance/cosmetic forum.

awesome, thanks for your replies.

can a mod move this to appearance/cosmetic please?

this is a really newbie question but i just want to be sure. the seller told me the rims were 16's but when i got a tape measure and measured them, they were a little over 17. did he just give me the wrong figure? or are you supposed to measure it from certain points?

If anything they seem big, a 205/45 is almost an inch taller than the correct sized 17 (205/40).

In other words, your car will sit a half inch lower by getting the right sized tires.

Keep the rims silver.

Cheers,
Roy
