Default crx with b16 without changing hubs

ok. i just got off the phone with my local performance shop. going to swap the crx with a b16. i asked them if they are going to change the hubs and the breaks they said it was not neccessary. only the axles? is this true???ive had this conception that inorder to fit the axle neccesary for a b16 swap is to change the hub. or is there a way that you only change the axle but not the hub for a b16swap.oh by the way i have a 88crx hf.

If it has stock HF hubs then it is required to change the hubs from what I know.

i know in an si you just remove the dust cap from the inside of the hub and your teg axles will fit perfect, but cant tell you about a dx. mine is an si,if your hub is the same as mine you're good to go! mine popped right in!

DX has same size hubs as SI. Just remove dust cover and axles will work fine.

no. for the HF, you have to get the hubs from a Si or a DX.

yes you can, but why go thought the trouble... by getting new hubs you will also up grade your brakes from a 8.X" to 9.5". since you will be adding more hp and since honda love to utilize the front brakes so much, why not get the bigger brakes!?
