im not sure about your whole situation, but andy has always been great with me. he even takes time to answer my annoying *** questions, and he was very quick when i orderd my tinker manifold.
I'm a lazy ****, MY PERSONAL SITUATION LOL? Man you don't know me, you don't know what goes on here. I am here everyday doing my job. I answer all my e-mail, I answer questions on honda-tech and I am busy working. Man sometimes even if were all out to lunch I will have calls forwarded to my cell phone or one of my sales guys phone's. We got a answering machine, you wanna get a hold of us use it everyone please. Were a manufacturer, not a retail shop with a row full of people with headsets. Were people with gloves and mask on running around in a resin smelling warehouse. You didn't deal direct with me Sr. You dealt with Rob@tornactive. All I am doing is making this stuff and shipping this stuff out. Do you think I make like 10 Integra hoods in 1 day lol. Sorry this ain't Taiwan where I got 75 workers making ends meat. I am sorry, but this stuff takes time and I do have a lot of people that buy our product especially X-mas coming. It's a first come first serve basis and everyone gots to wait. If we **** up on a hood then we gotta start over. You ordered a Carbon Fiber hood from us because our good reputation on honda-tech. You got X-mas coming, and it takes 2-3 days to make a carbon fiber hood. I CANT PACKAGE SOMETHING THAT AINT DONE. 2-3 weeks wait time is a average time. Damn there are honda-tech guys on here that get there hoods within the same week. It just all depends on the time you ordered. All I know is that I got a FAX from tornactive, I processed the order, and I put you on the list of integra hoods we got to make. When we get to your name we lay up the part and then send it to packaging and what not. We have been doing our jobs, plus you got Sema last week and I was the only person here that whole week. I can give you a list of people who have ordered from me in the past 5 weeks that have gotten there stuff from us! Orders are orders to me and I treat them all the same. The only reason why I knew about this post is because one of my customers linked me to it because he thought this was ridiculous.
It's funny you posted today cause your hood should be buffed and waxed by tomorrow morning. Ohh yah, I only heard from ROB last week Sr. so this is the first time I have heard you complaining. I am just doing my job, you didn't deal with me. Sorry I cant answer the phone here 24/7, gots hoods to make, and Rob knows how to get a hold of me. I answer my e-mail almost every hour.

I personally have ordered 3 hoods from andy for my customers. They are the best of quality and I think it should take time to make such great hoods. I don't know why you getting mad at Andy when you ordered from tornactive. Rob should give you a heads up on timeframe when you order your hood. I don't think its the responsibility of Andy when you didn't order it directly from him.
ive been dealing with Andy for a little now and he is wuick to answer the phone or ifi leave a message i swear i get a call back in like 5 mins tops. quick with email and everything
As far as the wait on p[roducts. I can tell you 1st hand because my friend owns a carbon fiber/fiberglass shop so i can tell you how long it takes to make molds, then prep the molds andmaterials,then lay the fiber and resin ,gel coat, clear coat etc.
I have seen the wholeprocess and you cant expect to pop out a **** loadof hoods in a day. Its tuff. i dont know how many guys he has working for him, but my friend is always busy with alotof cust stuff and i can tell youthe wait is alot more thna 3 weeks

andy is a good guy. I brought a vented carbon fiber hood and a sidewinder manifold from him. When i called and he didnt pick up and i left a voice mail he called back. He answered all my question including about his setup and my setup. Shippiing was great and fast, done very neat.
I havent personally bought from tornactive.com or bknw, but I do have a friend who bought some stuff from tornactive.com, he got some pretty good deals, but they always took a long time to get the products. I think when I finally buy a hood, I would buy one from BKNW, just from reading how the owner handled it in this post. Sounds to me like your very impatient, and quick to point a finger.
all i know is that i placed my order in a sufficient enough time for a hood to be made and shipped. i am aware that the hoods are made to order and im sorry if your backed up, but don't advertise 2-3 weeks for shipping if it takes you longer. i talked to rob 2 times over a span of two weeks. im not some **** kid who cant wait for his **** to come in. however when im out 490 dollars ( and i dont have a real high paying job) and recieve no answer when patched through by Rob to your company TWICE i start to worry. i didnt say your hoods were shitty or poorly made, i adressed the way you handle your orders. get a secretary to handle your calls if your busy making the hoods. even Rob at tornactive sounded worried and didnt understand why it would take so long. after the 3rd week of waiting you probably recieved a call from tornactive when i called them asking if it had been shipped. you easily could have gotten back to them in the 2 weeks it has been since then. im sure your not working around the clock making carbon fiber hoods. if you dont conduct a business professionally ( especially when dealing with a fairly large amount of money) dont expect praise from me, and expect to be questioned on the where-abouts of the product. you should honestly make an effort to improve your customer service if you dont want problems like this in the future. a simple call to tornactive explaining that you were behind schedule in making your hoods would have been relayed to me. but when a sales rep and tornactive doesnt even know whats going on or why your not picking up calls, i get worried too.
i orderd from tornactive. and it said my package was shippe don the 11th. on the 16th i emailed them and asked why i havent got it yet. i got a email back with a tracking # showing it was shippe don the 16th. i think http://www.tornactive.com hets your $ then orders the parts. i dont think they keep them on hand
i understand that hood take time to make, however when you first heard from rob, why didnt you get back to him in a timely manner? if you had, then i wouldnt have been so worried. 2-3 weeks is 2-3 weeks. if it takes you longer, at least explain to Tornactive your situation. also, how do you know MY hood was finished and going to go out tomorrow? seeing as how my H-T name is no way a part or my tornactive.com order, and the name on the order for the hood is my fathers name? there is no was you could have known that my hood was almost finished. unless you only have one order, mine.

First off I am not the one advertising 2-3 weeks here. You deal with Rob and Rob never patched you through to me. I barely talk to Rob over the phone, mostly via e-mail. He places his order VIA e-mail, and he checks up on his orders VIA e-mail. Don't go blowing up your mouth please and blaming me, when I have treated all Rob's orders just the way I have treated his orders in the past. He knows how's it goes, and if he misinformed you or there was miscommunication it has nothing to do with me. I told Rob the hood was on backorder and he knows that when I send the hoods out I will provide him with a tracking number either via e-mail or on the phone. Your HIS customer, not mine, that is why he is a dealer so he can deal with you AS A RETAIL CUSTOMER. If he wanted a update or you wanted a update he simply just needed to e-mail me or give me a call. He has both my cell phone number as well as my work number. I even told him to tell you to give me a call if you were SOO WORRIED. I never heard from you, nor did I get a messege on my answering machine about your concern. Did he tell you that? The thing is, Rob knows I am doing the best I can, and if he is not relaying that to you that is not my problem. Communications is between you and him since you ordered from him and your his customer.

You posted in the INTEGRA forum which states you probably have a integra, and you also said you ordered from tornactive. Well you put 2 and 2 together=answer. Rob does not stock our hoods, nor does he place a lot of orders. Keeping track of the orders is quite simple epecially after the fact he e-mailed me last week about how you were complaining. I e-mailed him what was going on, and if you can't accept that then I am sorry, but I can't simply just clap my hands and put you in front of the line, and make a hood. Like I said, I got other people before you, and other dealers that have placed orders with us. Your hood is done and ready to go. It will be packaged, and WOW I can actually say that now because it's done. I can't package air Sr. A pickup will be scheduled, it will be shipped 3 day air. Sometimes 4 day dependin on your location, and a tracking number will be e-mailed to Rob to give to you. Simple. I do my job, and you wait patiently so I can make one of our hoods for you and many other people.

every business will have a few unhappy customers now and then. Most of he time its a simple misunderstanding. Personaly if I didn't already have a VIS hood I'd be in line myself.
Nice of you to be big about in and admit you were wrong! Andy is a great guy! i talked to him a few years ago when he was starting out (met him via ClubSi) then I got out of the honda scene and am now i'm back in with a vengance and he is the first guy i contacted for a hood....and my car doesn't even arrive 'til tomorrow hahaha!

I sell your hoods Andy because i know the quality is there, but I have to say your BB relations are not top-notch. No updates, not even a e-mail or phone call to say: "Hey , thats hoods out of stock, it will be 3-4 weeks until i have more, so inform your customer". Thats all i ask.
I faxed the order in on 10/20/2003. GOT NO RESPONSE until the our reps noticed order was lagging. I sent you an e-mail and the customer called asking whats going on with his hood. I was not sure and DID TRY calling but no answer. I finally did get a hold of you today and finally got some action taken, after i had to be very serious about the matter.
Anyhow, I offered the customer a 100% refund and a FREE GIFT as a token of my appreciation for all of this bullshit and mis0understanding. I truly apologize to him, and he will be taken care of 100%
As for me and Andy, i dont sell his hoods anymore, Not because of the quality but mearly because the BB relation is just not there. Lack of updates and and inventory.
We do have notice on the hood description (on the website) that states a "2-3- week waiting period", this was implied during our conversations.
I hope i cleared up any confusion, as we learned the hard way on this one.

I'll STILL vouch for Andy there. I waited a week or two I think? Even took the time to drive 6 hours to So. Cal. to pick it up. Inspected every inch and even stopped in a neighborhood half way to San Diego to PUT IT ON by myself. The hood rocks! Great quality and the shine is spectacular. He was great to deal with too, giving me help with directions when I was right around the block from that shop lol. Damn that was a fun trip.
Good service from that guy, no one should have complaints about his work. In fact, he got me a deal on such a good hood that I have it in my room for the winter to keep that nasty weather from damaging it. Waxed it the other night.
