They both have some good points, the comptech is a little bit higher than price,
Jackson says theirs flows about the same...
Anybody have any proof of which is better.

03RSXTypeS, not everyone lives in smoggerville. NC does have inspections, but their cops are pretty lenient about most other
things.

GreenBean, there's a guy in the classifieds (I think in the sponsors forum) on here who gave
me a pretty good quote on Comptech headers. You might want to look for him or if you want, IM me and I'll try to remember his name/id...

JR the gain in hp between the two isn't worth 4 or 5 hundred dollars unless you get a nice discount.

Here's a comparison, can you guess which one works better? Is that worth an extra $300?

You have the data, its your choice.

will you be able to pass the inspections with the comptech race header? unless the emissions guy just gets lazy and not check every single thing and just pass you just for the hell of it

Does this vehicle have the Hondata-4 upgrade, it looks like vtec kicks in at 5,200...and the graph goes to 8,500ish. And whats the lowest plot. Completely stock?

Okay so peak HP was 4hp, but the acceleration hp was a big difference.....definately worth the price difference. It looks like 20hp increase in the mid range? Is this correct?

I'm just asking, its not a mock or anything. the jackson header is legal but on comptech website it says that their header is illegal for street use.

You guys should wait and see what SMSP has in store for the K series... From what I heard its going to be the standard for K series headers...

SMSP's B and H series reputation speaks for itself... Good Stuff

Comptech ownz...Friend of mine had the Jackson Racing and when I was looking for a race header he told me not to go with Jackson Racing and to go with Comptech. All I can say is I love the the Comptech. If he's also worried about the CEL coming on an O2 simulator will take care of that. Peace
