When I first bought my 89 Crx Si it had a glass sunroof but was rusting around the edges and wasnt it good shape, so I went to the yard an picked up a red one for 20 bucks , painted it and installed it.

Is there a specific year or model that came with the glass roof? Or will any other car fit?

Anyone have one for sale?

 

Only jdm crx's had FULL glass tops. It was prob aftermarket .

 

Just a note on the Si for 88-91 that the Code will be JHMED9. I have not seen an example of the car with a glass sunroof standard.

 

Im not talking bout the full glass roof. Just the part that lifts and retracts was glass.

ok it sounds like someone had someone make the glass and adapted it to the rails of the roof or by chance found a roof that will fit the rails. I'll go home tonight and measure the roof and see how close it is with other sun roofs

 

2 of my friends had 89 CRX's, black, with glass sunroofs. Don't know if it was a year specific thing, but my old one had the painted sunroof, and I wanted their glass version.

 

i think the glass from a 92-95 civic ex will fit the crx si sunroof, they pop out like the crx and i think are the same size i dunno.

i know for a fact that the 88-91 civic si sun roof is the same as the 90-93 integra ls sun roof same part #'s

 

anyone else think that may be right? I might hit up the yard tomorrow after school if anyone thinks this may work. Im really liking the idea of a glass top just to trip out and let some more light in my car since my windows are limo tinted

 

if not the glass alone from a 88-91 civic si will work as well as the gen2 glass
