Best LS upgrade?
whats up i just got a 1995 integra LS i dunno if i should put on a b16 head or if i should just super or turbo charge the stock moter or GSR swap. i was leaning more to the b16 head but i herd that the pistons need more room or some thin like that.

No money for boost, then Port head(not really sure on how much but u can look into that that is always a good thing to do), pully's,cam gears, intake, 4-1 header, 2.5 exhaust and dyno got urself a car with NICE acceleration! Should be few thousand less then turbo but decision is on you...2 cents

I learned this the hard way. there is no great LS upgrade to improve power to the point where it's pimp. This is why i was turbo'd, blew the engine, kicked ***!, now a rebuild is in progress to go faster. Boost ! baby!

performance wise (2 and 3 are VERY close):
1. turbo
2. b16 head
3. gsr swap
reliability wise (assuming proper maintenance, tuning, and installation):
1. gsr swap
2. b16 head
3. turbo
cost wise (on average):
1. b16 head
2. turbo
3. gsr swap
7 points for b16 head
6 points for turbo
5 points for gsr swap
switch the b16 head option and the gsr swap option for the performance catergory and the scoreboard is dead even. oh, btw; my points system doesnt mean jack **** because life isnt composed of points.

I agree. Learn your car, it's limits, and your abilities. Then upgrade tires, re-learn your car, it's limits, and your abilities. Then suspension, and so on. It's a process.

The cost for a GSR swap is not worth the gains.
Way too many people look over the B18B because it doesn't have VTAK Y0!
Even NA you can make a powerful honda with out vtec. There is a member on the board running a B20 with crower 405's making 200whp, and a very intimidating power curve (which is more important).
The b16 head will cost more in the long run to do it right (and doing it wrong will add up too when things start breaking).
I agree with everyone else to focus on your driving ability and tires first, then move into suspension/brakes. If you still need more power then look into the other options.
