Default Power Steering

I have an 89 civic hatch and it does not have power steering.
is there any way i can add power steering to it? if so how and where can i get it?

That's JDM......although I think the 90-91 EX Civic sedan came with power steering, not too sure though....

my 89 lx 4door has power steering...well, it HAD power steerig. i pulled the pump off during a swap and havent put it back on.

how much does the power steering weigh?

how much would it cost?new?used?

will it fit the hatchback? how much could the whole system not just the pump of the P.S. cost?

I am 90% sure the 4d steering rack will fit, everything else is just plumbing.

I would have to say that spending some time at the gym would be easier though.

or u could get one from a auto hatch back.. all the auto hatch's have power steering. the 4dr one will work as well i think.. you'll need the rack.. pump.. lines.. front fuild cooler. i think thats it.. hopefully you won't have to change the steering column.. i doubt it

You will need the rack and rear crossmember, hoses, reservior, cooler tube(in front of radiator). These can be found on any 88-91 LX or auto civic. Go to the bone yard and get everything associated with the Power steering. I have had it on my 88 HB for three years and I love it. Parking is a breeze.!!!!!!

about that "all autos have power steering thing", that isnt true. a buddy of mine has a 91 dx auto, and he doesnt have power steering...
