where can i find an underhood vaccum line map/emissions sticker??
when i drop my d16a6 i just wanted to switch stickers on the underside of my hood to show the vaccum line routes and emissions info....can you buy these? and if so where.
Here is my experiance in San Diego..
A few months ago i swaped my Dx into an Si (CRX d15 to d16). I also wanted the correct stickers for my new setup, so i went to the dealership to order the part.
The local honda dealer told me they would need a copy of my vin number to order the sticker. Well to make a long story short i went to 4 different dealers in San Diego and all said the same story.
From what i was told this item is considered part of your emission systems and cannot be tampered with, hence them asking for you vin number.
I got around it by asking my friend who has a same year Si crx and used his vin number. My only drama I had was the parts person said he needed to install it on the car i was going to use it on.
So find a friend who has that same car Si (not engine) and use his vin number.

yeah see thats what i was wondering...cause aftermarket/carbon fiber hoods aren't legal or anything and you can't peel off your old sticker and put it on a new hood...so i wonder if it even matters whether i have it?
You could swap hoods if they are the same color. Would look kinda funny and suspicious..
My friend has a carbon fiber hood and he used his vin to purchase the sticker for it.
Like i said before find a friend with a same year Si as yours and use his vin. The reason im saying same year, is because the sticker is dated with the year of the car (look at your emissions sticker). My Smog isnt due for till feb so im going to see if I can get away with it (smogging) at a local test shop without having to go to the smog ref.

The sticker doesn't matter. All the smog techs do is pull out a book look under your year make and model(by your VIN) and there is the correct diagram. The sticker isn't really important. So I wouldn't worry about it. BTW I'm taking an Emissions Control class and I asked my instructor about this for ya. He said the best thing to do is keep it looking low key under the hood. Techs get paid per each car smogged and if nothing looks modified or out of place they won't look too closely at your engine bay. Unless it's a check only station then they are pretty much there to make sure everything is the way it should be. Hope this helped you guys out a little
