Default Redline of H22

I was wondering what's the redline of the JDM H22 and the USDM H22? I have an JDM H22 and somehow it revs past 7900 and I don't know why. Doesn't the JDM p13 ecu have a rev limiter? Thanks in advance.

it revs that high because that is the inaccurate RPM that is displayed by your guage cluster

the redline is 7500 and fuel is around 7600

the factory tach reads about 3-400rpms too high at those RPMs

I've been told that the USDM ecu does not have a rev limiter. That's why I am worried that the shop has switched out my ecu with a USDM H22 one. Isn't the USDM H22 redline at a different point from the JDM H22?

So basically, the redline with a unchipped jdm ecu is 8000 rpm and the redline with a usdm ecu is 7500 rpm?

Yes, I have a jdm p13 ecu.

Thanks for the replies. I will just shift at 7600 from now on. Any other opinions?

7600 is about the fuel cut range, you would want to shift before that, like already stated H22's quit making power around the 6800 range with out head work. Its pointless to rev that high, its not like a GSR motor

But if a person with a H22 shifts at 6800, wouldnt it make the car slower because it dips slightly out of vtec when shifting to the next gear?

yes, from 1-2 i shift at about 7500 on stock accord tach(so about 7100) to keep in vtec for 2nd and from 2-3 i little lower and i stay in vtec, after 2-3 if you're at 7000+ then you will stay in vtec

yea, that is right. I was just saying there is no real need to go up to anything like 8k, or past 7.5k for that matter. Even thought the car quits making power that high, i still get my quickest quater mile time by taking it up just before the redline and shifting and thats even with a v-afc where i can set my vtec engagement point

according to my VAFC fuel cut with a JDM p13 is ~7650 and i believe that is the same for USDM. you may see 8k on your tach, but that is not 100% accurate. hell i do and that only ~7,400-7,500 for me.
