I am on the verge of breaking up with her because she accuse me of taking better
care of my R then her and made it worse because i just purchase JDM seats for it. I was so flame that i replied, " At least My R doesn't give me BS!" I just can't believe a girl can be jealous of a car. Don't get me wrong, she is a car person too who just purchased 01 Celica GTS w/ Action Pkg but she still hates my car! Sorry to let out some steam here.

simple. just don't tell her what you buy for your car. She won't know the difference. if its something obvious fudge prices so that she doesnt' think things like jdm seats are a big purchase. Like i traded in my stocks seats +200 dollars for the jdms.

I just let my ex drive it the other day...she loved it, but still won't get back with me.

 

 

I figured if anything would say "I love you and trust you completely", it would be letting her drive my car. But she's got some new guy who "has cool interests." God damn it, who can hook me up with the local Buddhist temple?!

My gf does not understand why I dont want to drive it every where and i quote "You spend that much money on a car and you just let is sit in the garage." oh well. She also does not like the fact that i buy expensive 100% cotten towels to wash/dry my car and yet i only spend 3 dollars on cheap towels for our bathroom. Damn woman.

My WIFE had and still kinda has R envy,

especially after I've had two R's. We drove from NY to Miami in my PY and she bitched all the way about how I was so **** about my car and her discomfort with it's handeling on rough roads and long trips. Maybe I was a little selfish by taking both of my girls on a trip together?

I mean, don't get me wrong she understands and appreciates my car fetish but, I can see that it frustrates her sometimes. She started to understand me when I began modding my old LS and actually picked up the lingo and conversation. But in the end she doesn't have the same appreciation of my car that I and so many others out there do.

And let me be the one to tell you that hiding any money that you spend on your car from you G/F or Wife is NOT a good idea and also not a very open relationship. Especially when most of our good mods are around the $1000. mark. Mine still doesn't understand why the Hell I'd install a Spoon header. On the other hand she likes different rims and rubber "for looks," He He He...

I guess ya take the good with the bad. And in the end it Is a HOBBY. It's been around for years with all different cars and styles so if she doesn't at least try to appreciate it or understand then maybe she isn't right for you? It took a lot of convincing to make my wife comprehend my passion but, she does and thats very important to me and Us.

I love my car and my wife but, a car can be replaced alot easier... And, it's a different kind of love, or is it?

I saw my girlfriend holding hands with "her best guy" friend today, so whether or not she likes my R may very well be a moot point...

 

Damn, that's kinda like my g/f. I told her that we aren't going to be fancy (read downtown) restaurant in my car. She says that's stupid. I said no. The biggest thing is that she hates me spending money on the car when it can go towards a bling-bling 2kt. engagment ring. I love my g/f, but sometime I just can't understand.

 

More on topic than my last post: I parked next to a bone stock NA auto 300zx, and she said she liked it better than the R cause it was pretty. so i keep the car **** and the girl **** separate

 

soo funny and soo true everyone hahahaah.....i taught my girl all about cars...and she wants to hook up her lil civic ex....imma rice the **** outta that and race mines....she wants it pretty....she dont' care how fast she goes....but imma strap a JRSC on that piece then she'd want to hook her car to GO!

My girl doesn't hate my car but she does hate my parts room and the time that I spent climbing thru boneyards looking for parts for other people.

If you wanna keep her you better show here a lil' more love.

Racer chicks... There's an all female drift team over here that is absolutely delicious. All of the cars are pink... Laurels, Cefiro's, 180SX's, Silivia's, AE86 Truenos and Levins, R32/33 Skylines, FC3S and FD3S RX-7's, and more... most of them work on their own cars and they can drive their ases off!

I guess I'm pretty lucky, in that my GF had to convince me to let go of my Civic (EG JDM SiR )and get the R, she was more for it than me
She also goes 50/50 with me on most things for the car, not always though, but she doesn't mind when I do by stuff.

Funny, my girlfriend nags me contantly about GETTING an ITR. I drive around my CRX (For example, today I took off all the silencer **** on the air filter so my CRX sounds like a motorcycle) and say "I bet you didn't know we're riding in a race car." She replies, "No, a Type R is a race car, this is a rice beater."

Beth really doesn't mind me spending money and time on the R (she even bought the excuse that my cams "were a good deal" ), as long as I work on her car, keeping it running (POS LeBaron convertible). Now, mention doing anything to the Volvo, and she goes ballistic

Basically, as long as I keep the Scout, she'll keep digging me

Goddam this is the funniest **** ever!!! Women are always jealous if you give too much attention to anything else... first she didn't like my pets, now that i'm getting into modding, she's showing signs of it again, and we saw a blue RSX-S a few days ago and she thought it was uglier than my teg.... i disagree, but i like that she digs my car
