14.1 & higher compression piston. where can i get them?

 

JE probably makes them, but why are you running such a high compression? I hope you know that your motor will really need to be fine tuned and strengthened for the kind of compression. Are you building a race car becuase that high of a compression will make your car undrivable on the streets.

talk to RS_H22 from IBspec he'll set you up...

 

IB sells up to 13.9:1 but u can shave the head slightly (which i dont recommend) or u can deck the block for piston to deck clearance which will do the same thing. id ask MAX_CFM (brad) on here first.

 

14:1 damn thats scary!

 

Tough to get compression up to 14:1 on a stock block. High compression is easier to attain on a sleeved block. The bigger the bore, the higher the compression will be with the same size combustion chamber and piston dome cc's.

 

im have a 85.5 b18c no piston yet its for mi new setup
i have 13.1 in my motor now runnig 12.3 @108. setup
crower stg3,jg 13.1 comp piston,... haltech E6K ecu

actually i was talking to IB last week and they said that i could get 15:0:1 90mm pistons for my h22...you've just got to ask for them and they'll get them made.

IB has "Super Duper" high compression pistons for 85mm and 86mm bores. You might be able to get custom pistons in 85.5mm bore, or you could go 86mm and get the IB "SD's" off the shelf. I think Jeff is out of town, so talk to Rod (IBspechatch).

 

i know wiseco makes 14's for the h series.

they are ultralight with the short skirts

You want more compression or more power?

Dome shape and ring seal play a big role in power production along with compression.

 

Arias' #3330701 yield 14:1 with an LS block & GSR head. They are 85mm however. What set up are you running?
