I have never owned a honda before and yesterday I bought my friends 85 civic. 4 door, carbed, and rusted. $150 bucks.

Why did I buy such a piece of junk? Beater Challenge. My local car club has an event every year. 2 mile autocross on an abandoned air strip driving cars that cost less than 800 bucks(including mods).

I am posting here because I would like to get more info on this car. What engine does it have, specs, potential, etc.

Can I do an EFI headswap? Will any EFI engines bolt into the chassis? Does anyone make suspension compents for this car?

Any recommendations to get this car to handle better for cheap?

I dont imagine there are many people on this forum with older civics, but are there any only resources or any other websites perhaps dedicated to this generation of cars? I know that Honda has a habit of reusing many parts from other cars, so im wondering what other models have parts that will bolt right one.

Ill do some searching around there. I imagined that this board will have more technical info regarding parts and the like though.

Will integra suspension parts bolt up? I was told that the late 80's integra power train will bolt in no problem.
