Default jdm d15B swap into CRX auto anyone?

Anyone have or know of someone who has put a d15b vtec, or (d16z6, or minime for that matter) into a crx dx auto with the mpfi swap and such using the stock auto tranny with a vtec controller etc.

alright,, the d15b vtec is JDM and the d16z6 i USDM . u can put either of motors in crx, but are cars are obd0- and the (z6) and (d15b vtec) are obd1, sou will need a conversion harness, and either a us,p28 ecu, or the jdm,p08 ecu to run those motors.u can go cable (88-91) or hydro tranny (92-95), i would stay cable cheaper, u can run the vtec through the ecu, or a afc-vtec cont,

i have a 93 sohc vtec motor, p28ecu,obd0-obd1 harness, 91 si cable tranny axles linkage, 4 wire o2 senser,, pretty much for u my friend use the search button, it will help u out alot,,

good luck to you

i guess i don't want to make power

nah, i don't really care about this car having "power", it's actually quick enough as is for its use.
This is more of a "who has done it" post and their experience with it, not a "should I dump the auto tranny cause its mad slow yo" post.

thanks,
ac

go for it. It will work just fine. But i have no clue where your going to find an ecu thats auto, obd0, and MPFI lol...i dont even think it exists. Becuz i dont think they ever made the Si auto, if they did it was very few. Maybe you could find the pg7? teg ecu in auto.

They made 90-91 Civic EX autos which had the a6, have fun trying to find just the ecu as the cars themselves can be a bit hard to find. I'll soon be looking into putting my ZC into my dx auto using the ZC torque converter, auto teg ecu, and dx tranny. The only thing I would be concerned about is the extra stress put on your DX TC, and we all know the auto trannys arent the best thing honda made. I think it will work though, just gotta find that ecu, and I think its PS9 or somethin close to that.

i think you should convert to obd1 it will be a lot easier to find an auto p28 ecu and you wont have to ghetto rig ANYTHING

If it works reliably, then it works.

noob, i don't care about shifting fast, or racing for that matter for this car. I already own 2 other g2's that are 5spds,have owned 2 other 5pd crx's and plan on buying another si. This is a btr. If i wanted to go faster I wouldn't be messing around with a 1.5 liter engine. This is a post asking WHO's DONE IT. You're about as useful as a blind barber .

well I wanted to make power so I ditched the auto trany on my DX and swaped the d15b hydro trany... lot of troubble for about nothing in gain... but's that not the point: you need to :
convert to obd1 ( blown90hatch harness )
attach the whole backplate and TQ converter to the d15b, everything will fit just as if it was made for that purpose ( except if you own a 1988 trany or TQ converter wich has 21 spline other than 20 on the input shaft ) .

you'll need to find a P28 ECU with auto trany otion ( I think that you'll find this on the jdm side with a p28 ( ferio automatic exist I think, i'm not shure though )
for the ECU Part's contact Adrian at http://www.hyperducktuning.com/
he will hook you up with something, this guy know more about ECU that Bush actually know about Politic.
feel free to post question.
