My friend has a 85 civic DX a D15B2 and i was wondering if its possible to slap a Z6 head on it?? I know i would need like an entire new wiring harness ecu intake mani and such considering it is currently carbed?

I always thought the 3rd gen civic dx was carbed? Did he already swap in a newer engine from a 4g dx? If he did he should be able to swap the z6 head. Search for "mini-me" using the search function on here and you should find a bunch of info.

 

yeah it is carb'd but i was wondering if could do a complete head changeover to it to make it fuel injected and swap the z6 head on it?

 

You would need a complete carb to fi conversion, that would include all the fuel lines and accompanying parts. Not an overly fun job but certainly possible. However, I am unsure about the z6 head question.

No you cant put a z6 head on it. But you can put a frist gen dohc teg head on it. Check out redpepperracing.com it has a ton of info.
